Insurance
Group Travel International offer comprehensive travel insurance policies designed specifically for group travel and to ensure the needs of your group are well covered. Offering low premiums for all your group members, European tour insurance starts from just €15 per person and from €25 for worldwide holidays.
Many people may not be aware that our travel insurance provides redundancy cover, ensuring peace of mind for our customers. Students are also covered if parents are made redundant. Redundancy (which qualifies for payment under the current Irish redundancy payment legislation and at the time of booking the Trip there was no reason to believe anyone would be made redundant) of one or both parents.
Our travel insurance is provided by Blue Insurances, Ireland's leading supplier of travel insurance. Blue Insurance was voted "Best Travel Insurance Product" by the Travel Trade in Ireland in 2004 and with a variety of underwriters available, can offer a better choice of insurance and the best rates in the market place.
Blue Insurances Limited is registered with the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority as a Multi Agency Intermediary.
Hotels
All hotels on our tours are inspected by GTI or our agents to ensure the quality and service expected by their star rating. The areas where the hotels are located is also researched to enable GTI to provide clients with options on dining and leisure activities. We welcome feedback from clients and we are always willing to assist with any special requirements they may have.

We are constantly negotiating with suppliers to keep the single supplement as low as possible. We do not profit from single room supplements and we will continue to do all we can to reduce and abolish these supplements.

Important Information for Travellers to the U.S.A.
Visitors travelling to the United States must complete an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation) online prior to travel. The ESTA is currently free however from 08 September 2010 the US will be imposing a fee
It is currently free to apply via ESTA online but starting from 8 September 2010 the US Government will charge a fee of US$14.00.

2012 Inspection Visit
VISIT BEAUTIFUL MUNICH AND LAKE GARDA
In 2012 our Client Inspection Trip will visit two of Europe's most stunning places, the beautiful city of Munich set in the heart of Bavaria, and wonderful Lake Garda, a colourful mix of quaint villages, historic cities and fabulous scenery.
Our tour begins with 3 nights in vibrant Munich and our excursions will not only include Munich but also Salzburg and the Eagle's Nest. We continue on southwards to Italy travelling by train through stunning mountain scenery of Austria to beautiful Lake Garda. During our 4 days in Lake Garda enjoy local excursions as well as the fabled city of Verona and magical Venice, with plenty of free time to enjoy at leisure. We aim for this tour is to be informative but also very relaxing.
All Group Leaders who book a tour before the end of April 2012 to a European destination are entitled to a place on our inspection trip to Munich and Lake Garda. Certain conditions will apply in relation to the number of persons booked and the length of the tour. TRAVEL STRESS FREE WITH OUR ASH CLOUD GUARANTEE
- NOW OFFERING TRAVEL DISRUPTION COVER INSURANCE
GTI are pleased to offer the new optional Travel Disruption Cover (including Ash) as follows:
Travel Disruption Cover (including Ash) - Annual Multi Trip €21.00 per person
Travel Disruption Cover (including Ash) - Single Trip Net € 12.00 per person
This cover offers more than just protection against volcanic ash, it also includes delayed departure, travel being prohibited by Dept of Foreign Affairs and unused accommodation cover resulting from Act of God.
Travel Disruption Cover is only effective after 7 Days from issue date / add on date. It is possible to add this cover to an existing Single or Annual policy as well however the 7 day moratorium will still apply.
Main highlights of the cover:
- Cover for Cancellation or Curtailment of up to €1,000 per person for unused travel and accommodation costs as a result of the Ash, or Travel Advice of Dept of Foreign Affairs i.e Bangkok, or World Health Organisation
- Delayed Departure as a result of the above for more than 12 hours = €20 for first 12 hours and €10 thereafter
- Missed Departure up to €500 – Cover if you fail to connect with your International point of departure in time for your flight i.e Dublin – London – LA if you cannot reach your London flight to LA as a result Ash etc…
- Accommodation Cover up to €1,000 – This new cover will also extend to cover unused accommodation costs as a result of Fire, Flood , Earthquake, explosion, Tsunami, Landslide, volcanic eruption, hurricane, storm, outbreak of food poisoning or an infectious disease affecting Your accommodation.
Exclusions include:
- €50 Excess
- Airline Duty/Taxes
- Costs which are recoverable elsewhere
- 7 Days moratorium from issue date
