World War I Battlefields Tour
I just wanted to let you know how my friends and I got on on the WW1 Tour last week, the guide was excellent, he managed to pitch the commentary at just the right level, he was very happy to answer our many questions. The Hotel was very comfortable and the food excellent, also the location of the Hotel was right in the middle of Ieper which was great. The bus driver was very friendly. All in all it was a great trip, and I certainly will travel with GTI again.

Thank you and your colleagues for organising the WW1 D-day Tour.  It was a wonderful tour, very interesting and thought provoking.  The Guide, Les Moors was excellent and the driver Tony was very good humoured and pleasant. Look forward to travelling with your company again in the future.

We really had a fantastic time and enjoyed every minute of it.  It was so well organised and we had a lovely group of people on the tour with us.  After 3 days on the battlefields we were quite glad to spent a relaxing time in Bruges - which is a beautiful city.   I would also like to put on record how highly we rated our tour guide.  He was excellent, so knowlegeable, and so interesting and very helpful at all times.  It was something I had wanted to do for such a long time as my grandfather's brother had served as a Medical Officer with the RAMC from the very beginning of the war.  He served all through the Battle of the Somme, and we drove through quite a few of the places he had been in as we toured around. 

Just a note to give some feedback on the WW1 Tour to Ypres.  Overall it was an excellent experience.  The hotel was very comfortable and in a great location.  The tours themselves were really good. Your guide really knew his stuff and was as helpful as he could possibly have been. There was an Irish element built into the tour with detailed accounts of the part played by specific Irish Regiments. I would recommend this tour and your company to anyone. Thank you.

My brother and I had the pleasure of going on the World War 1 Battlefields tour. I write to express my satisfaction with what was an outstanding experience. The tour guide was a most interesting and considerate person, with an encyclopedic knowledge of his subject and a sympathetic and humane view of those distant yet still tragic events. I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the subject and congratulate you on a well organized trip.

I recently went on your tour of the battlefields of Flanders and the Somme. The tour was excellent, the guiding very good and my brother and I enjoyed it immensely and learned a lot. Thank you for a moving and well-judged tour of the historic sites.

Having traveled with GTI on the WWI Battlefields tour I wish to let you know how marvelous the whole experience was. It was a moving, informative, interesting and intense journey. Our guide was so well informed and such a good communicator, giving a great overview of the events and atmosphere of that awful period. The position of the hotel so close to the town square and Menin gate in Ypres was great, providing easy access to the Last Post Ceremony and also the restaurants and pubs. I am delighted I went, the trip was well worthwhile.

My daughter, Marie Henry, and I were on your WWI (Ypres) tour last June. I must say that I was more moved by it than by any other tour, even your WWII tour the previous year. I hope to join another of your tours later on.

World War II D-Day Tour
I am writing to express our satisfaction with our experiences on our recent tour.  In particular, our guide, was superb.  Not only does he have a deep knowledge of the subject, but he communicates very well and is sympathetic to the varying needs of the party.  We would also commend the coach driver for his skill and consideration.

I write following our WWII Tour of the Normandy Beaches which we enjoyed immensely, it was well organized with a very good guide. A highlight for me was the guided city tour of Paris with an exceptional guide.

Just back from a delightful few days in Normandy. A very rewarding experience due in no small way to our excellent guide Les, who, quite effortlessly, made the past, the present. Remarkable.

This tour really was a fantastic chance of a lifetime event for myself. My objective for the tour was visiting the beaches, cemeteries and museums, and increasing my knowledge of the D-Day Operations. I think the best way to sum up my thorough enjoyment of the tour would be that if it was offered to me again tomorrow, I would sign up straight away.

I have just returned from the WWII Normandy Beaches. Firstly, I must say a very big thank you for organizing such an excellent Tour – the administration from the first day I contacted GTI was excellent and the arrangements made were superb. While on the tour the level of knowledge the guide imparted to the group obviously took a great deal of research  and his communication skills were of the highest caliber, to hold the attention and interests of all members of the party.

Thank you for such an exceptionally enjoyable tour. I look forward to traveling with you again and will be recommending GTI to anyone with an interest in the type of tours that you operate.

Berlin Tour
This is just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed the above tour. My note possibly will be very brief as I can't think of any possible improvements! I particular I have to highlight the imputs of our guide, Nigel Dunkley. His knowledge, experience, energy, professionalism and consideration were absolutely second to none. I expect you will have a long and fruitful working relationship with him. A particularly poignant moment on the trip was when the guide on our tour of the Stasi prison movingly recalled her time as an inmate there. An observation I would make is that the ex-Cold War sites did appear more real and impacting than the ex-Nazi ones; perhaps this is due simply to the ravages of time. Thanks very much, and all the best for the future.

Gallipoli & Istanbul Battlefields Tour
Thank you for a particularly moving tour, the coach driver was fantastic and the tour escort could not be faulted! Istanbul was an amazing experience and to visit the battlefields of Gallipoli is an experience I will treasure. Please put me on your mailing list for future tours.

Tuscany Cooking Experience
"I just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed the cooking tour, a wonderful experience. I travelled on my own for the first time and it could not have been more enjoyable. The hotel was superb and perfectly located. The group who travelled were great - we had such fun throughout the holiday. The chefs, Paolo & Daniella, were enthusiastic, encouraging and so typically Italian - fantastic. I learned so much during those lessons. Thank you."

"I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a weekend away and learn how to cook great Italian food, we had a ball. The hotel Villa was perfect and the location was ideal. The itinerary worked very well, obviously someone in GTI did their research. My husband loved it, a lot more than both of us thought he would!! A great experience.

Just a brief note to let you know how my husband John and I got on in Italy last weekend. We had a wonderful time. This trip was a surprise for John and he enjoyed very moment of it. Everything went according to plan and the cookery classes were great fun. We havetried out some of recipes since our return with great success. We took day trips to Florence and Arezzo. Arezzo was a charming town and should be recommended to future visitors. We had a lovely surprise with town market on day of departure. Thanks again, Hilary Murphy.

This is just a quick word of “Thanks” . We really enjoyed the cooking holiday over the June bank holiday weekend. The hotel was lovely , the cooking classes were fun and it was a really enjoyable experience . I would recommend this cooking holiday to anybody who has the slightest interest in Cooking and Italian culture.

History Tour - Vietnam & Cambodia
Just to let you know that we had an absolutely brilliant holiday. Everything went like clock-work. Secrets of the Third Reich Tour
Just to let you know that I arrived back safely from Munich and my Third Reich trip. I really enjoyed it and so did everyone else in the group; everything went without a hitch due to the way everything was planned, including the hotel & coach. Special mention goes to Stephen Whitehorn, he was excellent in every respect: knowledgeable, interested, enthusiastic, courteous and he was was with us late & early -he even delivered us safely to the airport on our final day. Well done to all at GTI and especially to you for arranging the trip for me.
