Day 1 – Fort William
Fly from Dublin to Glasgow. Meet your professional photography guide on arrival for transfer to Fort William. Overnight Ballachulish.
Day 2
An early start to catch first light on Scotland’s iconic Buachaille Etive Mhor before capturing images of Loch na h-Achlaise and Loch Ba on Ranoch Moor. Continue on to photograph the stunning cataracts and waterfalls of the River Etive, Loch Lleven, Glencoe and Ballachuilish. Weather permitting, photo opportunities at the enigmatic Castle Stalker. Day 3
Visit the Corpach basin where the Caledonian canal meets the sea. From here capture stunning views of Ben Nevis . Then it's on to Glenfinnan viaduct made famous in the Harry Potter films in time to photograph the Jacobite steam train crossing. Continue along the road to the Isles, with plenty of subject matter en route. Finish the day with a sunset over the sound of Arisaig. Overnight Maillag.
Day 4
Travel to Skye by ferry. The journey will be well rewarded with the views of the Cuillins across Loch Scaviag from Elgol. Returning to Broadford, stop to photograph the imposing Blaven and the historic churchyard at Cill Chriosd. Then on to Sligachan for more iconic views before finishing the day at Loch Bracadale on the west coast with the islands of Wiay and Oronsay. Overnight Uig
Day 5
Take in sunrise at the spectacular Quiraing and Storr rock formations with many features to inspire the imagination of the photographer. Next visit the iconic Eilean Donan castle, then head up to the Bealach Ratagan for views of the Five Sisters of Kintail before heading through Glen Shiel and Fort Augustus, a picturesque village in the heart of the Great Glen. Day 6
Head for the Atmospheric remains of Urquart castle on Loch Ness, then move on to Inverness with its castle before heading to Speyside for the afternoon, taking in such inspiring locations as Wades bridge in Carr Bridge and Loch Morlich nestling in the shade of the cairngorms where, conditions permitting we will take in our final sunset of the tour. Overnight Pitlochry.
Day 7
Travel to Edinburgh for urban landscapes and street photography opportunities in this historic city. Evening flight from Edinburgh to Dublin.
