Day 1
Meet your GTI representative during check-in at Dublin Airport and check-in for your flight from Dublin to Hong Kong flying with Cathay Pacific via Londonl
Day 2
Arrive Hong Kong International Airport. You will be met by our GTI representative at the airport. Transfer to your hotel by executive coach. Free time and dinner at own expense.
Day 3
Buffet Breakfast at your hotel followed by guided tour. Day at leisure & free time for shopping or independent sight-seeing. Early evening depart by coach from your hotel for transfer back to Hong Kong airport for your onward flight to Auckland.
Day 4
Arrive Auckland International Airport. You will be met at the airport by our GTI tour manager. Transfer to the hotel by executive coach. En route enjoy a brief orientation tour of Auckland. Check into your hotel for 2 nights accommodation. Dinner tonight is in an ambient restaurant overlooking Waitemata Harbour.
Day 5
Breakfast at your hotel. Enjoy a half day guided sightseeing tour of this magnificent city before enjoying an afternoon at leisure. Dinner at own expense this evening.
Day 6
Depart by coach for and travel south across the Bombay Hills and through the lush green dairy farmlands of the Waikato Valley to Hamilton City with agricultural visit en route to a successful local dairy farm just south of Te Awamutu. Check into your hotel for 2 nights accommodation. Dinner at hotel.
Day 7
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart by coach for a visit to the DairyNZ (formerly Dexcel) Livestock farm near Ruakura, the largest governmental agricultural and pasturing research institution in New Zealand. After lunch visit the Waikato Stud at Matamata. Return to hotel to freshen up before dinner. Dinner at hotel
Day 8
Breakfast at the hotel. Travel south to Waitomo for a guided tour of the famous Waitomo limestone caves. In the afternoon drive through picturesque farmlands, past pretty hydro lakes and through vast pine forests to Taupo. En route stop to see the spectacular Huka Falls on the Waikato River. Check into your hotel for 1 nights accommodation. This evening Dinner cruise on lovely Lake Taupo aboard the MV Cruise Cat.
Day 9
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive through forests and farmlands to Rotorua. Visit to Agrodome Sheep Show. Guided tour of Rainbow Springs Nature Park. Guided tour of Te Puia, the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute where young Maori are being taught traditional carving and weaving skills. Next visit the Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve.Check into your hotel for 1 nights accommodation. This evening return to Te Puia Marae for a traditional hangi dinner.
Day 10
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart by coach for your transfer to the Airport to check in for your flight from Rotorua to Christchurch. Arrive Christchurch for guided tour and visit the International Antarctic Centre to learn about the exploration of the great southern continent. Continue onto Ashbourton for 1 nights accommodation.
Day 11
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart by coach to traditional arable-livestock mixed farm before travelling south across the Canterbury Plains. Continue into Mt Cook National Park. In the afternoon cross the MacKenzie Basin and descend through Lindis Pass to the Central Otago sheep and cattle raising area into Queenstown. Check into your hotel for 3 nights accommodation. Enjoy dinner in the Skyline Restaurant overlooking Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains.
Day 12
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning sightseeing of Queenstown includes a drive out past the famous Shotover River to historic Arrowtown, which was the site of a major 1860s gold rush. Some of the scenes for the award winning Lord of the Rings film trilogy were also filmed near here. Free afternoon. This evening board the TSS Earnslaw and cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Station and enjoy dinner in the Colonels Homestead
Day 13
Breakfast at the hotel. Coach available for an optional daytrip to Invercargill where you will visit Southlands farm and a dairy/cattle farm. Dinner at the hotel this evening.
Day 14
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day tour by coach travelling through the Kawarau Gorge to Cromwell and on past Lake Dunstan through sheep and cattle farming country to Wanaka a popular lakeside resort. From Wanaka drive around glacial lakes and cross the Haast Pass through the Southern Alps - the scenery is stunning. Descend towards the coast and drive through magnificent native rainforest and past pretty bush fringed lakes to Franz Josef. Check into your hotel for 2 nights accommodation. Day 15
Breakfast at your hotel. Day at leisure with optional half day guided walk onto the snow and ice of Franz Josef Glacier (payable locally). The glacier descends from high in the Southern Alps to approximately 300 metres above sea level where it contrasts with the surrounding temperate rain forest. Dinner in the hotel included this evening
Day 16
Breakfast at the hotel. Travel north through forests and farmlands with the Southern Alps rising sharply to the east and vistas of the Tasman Sea to the west before driving on to Greymouth, which is the largest town on the West Coast. Depart Arthur’s Pass on the popular Tranz Alpine train and travel through the Southern Alps and down the Waimakiriri Valley to Christchurch. Transfer to your hotel for check in for 1 nights accommodation. Farewell dinner at the hotel with New Zealand beers and wines inc.
Day 17
Early Breakfast at the hotel. Depart the hotel and transfer to Christchurch International Airport for flight to Sydney (3 hours 30 mins flight) Arrive Sydney Airport. You will be met by our GTI representative at the airport. Transfer to your hotel by executive coach. En route enjoy a city sights tour visiting the historical Rocks area. Continue on your coach tour through cosmopolitan Kings Cross, Rushcutters Bay, Double Bay and Watson’s Bay before stopping at the world famous Bondi Beach. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner at own expense
Day 18
Breakfast at the hotel. Arrive at the Tours Desk of the Sydney Opera House for a guided tour of this architectual masterpiece. Free time to explore the Rocks and the Harbourfront at Circular Quay before your afternoon cruise on magnificent Sydney Harbour for spectacular views of the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Fort Denison, million dollar mansions and the bays and inlets that dot the harbour. Dinner at own expense.
Day 19
Breakfast at your hotel. Free day to explore Sydney. Option to enjoy a 3 course ‘Trawler’ menu at own expense. The Waterfront Restaurant is tucked away in a heritage-listed stone warehouse overlooking Circular Quay across to the Opera House and specialises in the finest and freshest Australian seafood and is an ideal venue for dinner.
Day 20
Breakfast at your hotel. Check out of your accommodation and meet your local GTI Ireland representative in the hotel foyer, who will assist with private coach transfer to the airport. Check-in for your flight to Hong Kong and onwards to London Heathrow and Dublin.
Day 22
Arrive London Heathrow Terminal 3. On arrival into Heathrow Terminal 3 please proceed to Terminal 1 to take your onward flight to Dublin. Arrive Dublin.
